Career Highlights:

Dr. Sonik Mandal earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Old Dominion University and his MBA from Iowa State University. Dr. Mandal completed his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, one of the premier engineering institutes in India. His corporate experience included stints as a software engineer in India and as a loan processor at Wells Fargo Financial. Dr. Mandal's research interests include corporate hedging, firms' research and development endeavors, and information asymmetry. Two of his papers have been published in the Journal of International Money and Finance, a top finance journal. Dr. Mandal joined USI in the Fall of 2023 and is looking forward to teaching in the MBA program.
