Career Highlights:
Prior to coming to USI, Dr. Noland served on the faculty at several universities, including the College of Charleston, Georgia Southern University, and the University of South Alabama, where he was Professor of Accounting and Department Chair. He holds professional certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM). Dr. Noland has been awarded the AICPA’s Lawler Award and the IMA’s Lybrand Bronze Medal for his contributions to accounting research. Dr. Noland has served as an Academic Fellow in the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) Office of Chief Accountant and also worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Dr. Noland is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and previously taught at the US Army Command & General Staff College.
